Advaitavidya organizes seminars with Swami Satyananda Saraswati on a regular basis. In these seminars a specific text of the Hindu tradition or Sanatana Dharma is explained in depth. Usually the seminars are held during weekends and can last one or two days. Often, a group of seminars with the same subject is organized in order to expand on that certain sacred text.
Satsangs (teachings) given by Swamiji are always based on traditional texts, teachings he received directly from different masters and his own life experience. Some of the topics addressed are the Upanishads, the Bhagavad Gita, the Yoga Sutras, texts of Advaita Vedanta, Kashmir Shaivism, philosophy of Yoga classical texts, Tantra or various Mahatmas´s life and teachings.
Seminars are experiential and include moments of silence, contemplation, meditation and the practice of kirtan (devotional singing). Attentive listening, presence and internalization during the seminars with Swami Satyananda Saraswati allow us to immerse in his words and silences, where his teachings become alive.
The schedule is usually from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. There are several breaks, one in the morning, another one for lunch and a last one during the afternoon when tea (chai) or infusions are offered.
A cloth or cushion to sit on (asana) is recommended.
Please note that there is limited availability in seminars and prior registration is required.
